XRISM Detects Quasar-Driven Turbulence in a Cluster
XRISM observations of the cluster surrounding quasar H1821+643 have revealed unusually energetic motions in hot gas tens of kiloparsecs from the nucleus, offering direct evidence that radiatively powerful black holes can influence their wider cluster environments.
